On the blog pages here on this site you’ll find 165 newsletters discussing writing process, how we live creative lives, living in hope in a challenging world, how to connect with nature as part of of our creative path, and the crucial questions of what story we want to write and what story we want to live. The blog has been running since 2012 and all the posts from January 2019 onwards (6 years worth) are still published here.
I’m continuing the conversation over on Substack and I’d love you to join me. You can subscribe for free and my Sunday newsletters will always cost nothing. Substack is a beautiful platform and also a place to build community. Here on the website it proved impossible to keep out trolls and hackers, which meant turning off comments on the posts — a great loss. On Substack you can like and comment on posts and begin a conversation. I love interacting with those who are giving their time to read what I write.
if you want to enhance this with more community features, you can take out a paid subscription — it’s cheap and gives you access to a mlnthly writing gathering as well as quartely writing workshops on Zoom. But it’s absolutely optional.
The Substack is called Alchemical Wonderings with Jan Elisabeth.
It’s an invitational space for transformation and asking questions on our own journeys of healing and creativity.
Because our world needs a different story.
Substack feels like the place where I can weave together the threads of my work, where I can offer a nurturing space that tends to our stories — through words, and through the wisdom of the natural world, sharing the alchemy that is around us every day.
The threads of my vocation have always has been about story, transformation, connection and healing. The aim on Substack is
- to hold space that supports writers and their creativity
- to accompany those on healing journeys with herbs
- to give time and power to my own writing in ways that also offer resources and insights to others.
- to linger, listen and connect in community
- to explore what hope and living a small life well might mean
Whether you simply want to spend time reading and tending your alchemical story, perhaps leaving something in the comments, or are able to support this adventure with a paid subscription, you are so welcome there.
